My name is Derek May. I’m an Artisan Builder based midway between Comox and Campbell River providing renovation services to local homeowners.

I have the skills and experience to bring your vision to life. From odd jobs to additions, interior and exterior upgrades and repairs, I’ve covered all areas of a residential home.

I specialize in “whole job” renovations. This means you don’t have to line up multiple contractors to do your renovation. And I do each job “one at a time”, till it is done.

I have extensive experience in bath and kitchen renovations. From tear out to tiling and painting.

Clients praise my attention to detail – and details matter. The right product, installed properly, level and plumb construction, adequate preparation and remediation before installation, correct draining slopes, they all matter to the final result. Since its me all the way through, I don’t make compromises for the “next guy” to sort out.

Work I perform includes: framing and finishing carpentry, drywall and painting, tile work, installation of cabinets, plumbing and lighting fixtures, shower enclosures and glass, custom showers, heated and waterproof tile floors, exterior construction such as sheds, fences and gates, and interior and exterior repairs.
